Build the Foundation

Before you can scale, you need a clear picture of how work actually gets done, a way to pass on the judgment that's still only in your head, and the processes to ensure consistency

Activities could include:

• Diagnostic look at how work currently happens: what's working, what's not, and where the real judgment calls are being made

• Documentation of your ways of working (SOPs), built specifically to be handed off, not just written down

• A playbook capturing the judgment and decision-making that currently only exists in your head

• Support putting the foundation in place before you scale, hire, or delegate further
